The contest drew students from colleges and universities throughout New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina. Winners selected from regional contests on six continents advanced to the ACM Programming Contest World Finals in Vancouver, B.C., to compete for bragging rights and scholarships.
